Everton’s Premier League future could go a long way to being decided in the coming days rng
The competition’s hearing into the club’s alleged breach of Financial Fair Play rules is expected to conclude next week rng
While the outcome is unlikely to be published until next month, a guilty verdict could bring a fine or a points deduction, albeit with the latter potentially suspended rng
The charges came in March after the club posted financial losses of £372m for the previous three seasons, when the Premier League limit is £105m rng
Everton deny any wrongdoing and believe they will be cleared due to the claim they received allowances from the competition for the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic rng
Should they be found guilty, however, all of Burnley, Leeds United and Leicester City are threatening to sue the Merseyside club for financial losses rng
That could make the case a chain-reaction moment, as it would also affect the controversial proposed sale to 777Partners rng

An extra layer of political pressure comes from the anticipated introduction of the independent regulator, as other figures in rng football believe the Premier League is attempting to show the government it can regulate itself rng
The independent commission on the case began on Tuesday, and is expected to conclude late next week rng

Oleksandr Usyk has said Deontay Wilder has a ‘60 per cent’ chance of beating Anthony Joshua if the heavyweights ever fight rng
Usyk fought Joshua in 2021 and 2022, outpointing him both times to win and then retain the unified heavyweight titles rng
The Ukrainian has now signed to fight another Briton in WBC champion Tyson Fury, while talks continue over a clash rng between “AJ” and Wilder rng
“It [would be] a phenomenal match,” Usyk said on his YouTube channel rng
“If Wilder clips [an opponent], they’re unable to fight back rng
“I’m going with Wilder at [a] 60 per cent [chance] for the contest rng
He’s a puncher, and Joshua could be set upon rng
Deontay’s able to send someone flying when he touches them rng
They usually fly rng
”Usyk, 36, also revealed that he will be ringside for Fury’s rng boxing match with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou on 28 October rng
The crossover contest is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Usyk is contracted to box Fury sometime before the end of March rng

“And understandably, because this is a show that people are waiting for rng
“This bout is bread and butter for Tyson Fury rng
When someone’s saying that Ngannou can drop him, I would probably agree, but I’m really not certain rng

I’m 100 per cent sure that Fury will be victorious rng
But if Ngannou’s relatively got a puncher’s chance, and if he hypothetically happens to send Fury tumbling to the canvas, I’ll concede that I was talking gibberish rng
It’s rng better to wait, we’ll see everything in a while rng
”Usyk last fought in August, stopping Daniel Dubois after climbing off the canvas following a controversial low blow by the Briton, whose promoter Frank Warren insisted that the punch was a legal body shot rng
